I think this is a great post because it is so practical and something that everyone can benefit from. Sunshine Monica February 25, 2015 .
Areas of the bathroom or kitchen that routinely get touched may show signs of collecting dirt and grease over time. These would require more frequent painting.
Awesome post! I just wanted to add a couple tips about cleaning brushes that might be helpful. If you’re painting and are coming back for second coats later the same day, you can put your brush in a ziplock bag to keep it from drying out while you’re taking a break. When cleaning your brushes, use Murphy Oil Soap, it really helps to get the paint off and is eco friendly. You can even soak brushes in it and clean them later on if you’re a giant procrastinator like I am 🙂 I love following your progress with this house and am so stoked to see the finished product! Cheers and have a great day! Alexandra February 25, 2015 Jill @ Champagne for Everyday February 25, 2015
Once you’ve narrowed down the results to three to five choices, reach out to all of them to get a quote. Make sure you have all the details for the project, such as house size or any additional services you plan on asking for. This will give you a good sense of whether someone is over-charging you or what to expect as a general price range for the project.
Believe it or not, there is more that goes into house painting than putting paint on a wall. There is prep work, clean up, priming and other details that must be addressed, which should be included in your initial quote. Before you sign on the dotted line with a painting contractor, you should get a detailed quote that lists all the steps being taken and how much each service will cost, including: Power washing Caulking, sanding and priming Wood or stucco repair (professional contractors will know what needs to be done without you telling them) Details of products and application methods (great contractors know the right products for every job) Touch-ups and cleanup Is the quote printed on company letterhead? Does the sheet show the contractor’s license number? Does he use a local landline phone number (be wary if only a cell phone number is listed)? Tax ID number? Work guarantee and relevant product warranties?

When asked the first thing he’d do if he could retire tomorrow, Cleve says he’d take a trip that would incorporate several of his interests. “I’d book a photography safari and take my guitar with me. Traveling, photography and music—put all three of those together and I’d be fine.” LOS GATOS — While environmentally-friendly materials offer a healthier approach to home improvement, they aren’t always compatible when used alongside traditional ones. My family had an amazing experience with this company. They were so very profession and nice right from the first walk thru to the very end. I am always impressed when a company has been around 40 plus years. It shows they have pride in what they do. Every little detail was perfect. Truly I was surprised and their precision on the windowsills. Overall this was a great experience with a fair and honest price. Thanks again for making this house really shine.
The cost of a professional house painting will vary depending on a number of factors, including the size and scope of the job, the materials and tools needed, the condition of the walls or surface that needs to be painted, as well as the company’s personal rates. On average, however, homeowners can expect to pay about $40.00 per hour for a standard house painting job. Simpler jobs may cost less–around $35.00/hour–whereas more complex jobs will cost more, around $45.00/hour.

Can't say enough good things about these painters. Mr. Lee's team of O, Jeff, and Chris were exceptional. They started the exterior painting with prep on Saturday and finished including touch ups on Thursday. Well worth it. The house looks amazing with neighbors stopping to ask for their information.
