Mayco recently painted the exterior of my house, and they did a fantastic job. They quoted me a very fair price, and kept in touch with me throughout the season in regards to start date. Ignacio and his team arrived on time every morning at 8am, and worked until sun down. Their work was very detailed and thorough, the crew very professional, and they cleaned up well after themselves each day and when the job was done. An overall outstanding experience; I highly recommend them!- Stephen F. .
Awesome post! I just wanted to add a couple tips about cleaning brushes that might be helpful. If you’re painting and are coming back for second coats later the same day, you can put your brush in a ziplock bag to keep it from drying out while you’re taking a break. When cleaning your brushes, use Murphy Oil Soap, it really helps to get the paint off and is eco friendly. You can even soak brushes in it and clean them later on if you’re a giant procrastinator like I am 🙂 I love following your progress with this house and am so stoked to see the finished product! Cheers and have a great day! Alexandra February 25, 2015 Jill @ Champagne for Everyday February 25, 2015

Today, 30 years after founding Stanford Painting, Inc., Jay talks about his two favorite parts of his job. “One is our company’s family atmosphere—we have a very close-knit team, and everyone knows whenever there’s a wedding or a new baby. The other is interacting with our customers. Working in people’s homes is a great way to get rooted in your community, so I really enjoy making connections and building relationships.”
A resident of Mountain View, Joel spends most of his time outside of work with his wife, Devan, and their two daughters. “My girls are still young, so my life pretty much revolves around them at the moment. Occasionally, I’ll fit in a round of golf, but for the most part it’s just family life. That’s what I look forward to at the end of the workday.”

The contractor may be tempted to find subcontractors offering the lowest possible fee so they can make more money on the job. This can translate into low quality of work.Since the subcontractor gets a fixed fee and is not paid hourly, they may be tempted to cut corners to get the job done quicker. If the contractor uses subcontractors and not employees, it increases the probability that they do not have workmen’s compensation insurance. The contractor may not know the people on the crew, which makes it likely that background checks have not been performed.
Painting your home is like buying a car (but hopefully not that expensive!) or buying new furniture. Not only does an awesome paint job say a lot about you, but it’s also a big investment that deserves a lot of consideration. Just like buying a car, you typically get what you pay for—so you want to consider a few factors going into it—like who the manufacturer is (the paint), who made it (the painter), and what condition it is in (the prep).
You’ll see an image of paint swatches displayed prominently on the Brite Painting and Waterproofing homepage. While this may seem like an obvious design choice, the colors work to inspire the imagination of a potential client. Toward the bottom of the page, you get more detailed info about the company’s services.

Though painting often creates a mess, a professional painter will ensure that your home is maintained as clean as possible during the entire project. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, most painters will clean up and take care of paint debris removal. However, there may be additional charges for using the landfill. Standard landfill fees range from $20 to $50 per ton. Find Pros

CONCORD — One of three brothers in the painting industry, Joe Sabel didn’t attain professional success overnight; rather, he approached it like any quality painting project: one coat at a time. “When I was 20, I started working for my older brother, who was a painting contractor,” he recounts. “Originally, I just needed a job, but I ended up really enjoying the trade and continued with it. After working with my brother, I spent four years with another painting contractor before starting my own business, which is still going strong after 30 years.”
