ANTIOCH — As a second-generation painter, Jared Cuevas’ experience on both the contracting and supplier sides of his industry has culminated in an uncommon depth of expertise. “I started out working for my dad during summer breaks in high school and college,” he remembers. “After college, I worked for him full-time for about eight years until he retired in 2010. At that point, I went to work for Sherwin-Williams, and after that Kelly-Moore, which gave me experience on the supplier side of the industry. Eventually, I wanted to start painting in the field again, so I started my own business.”
Spraying is a much better application if you are changing the color of your home. Spraying covers better and the application is more uniform. Spraying has no brush strokes and offers a more durable satin finish that looks much nicer. Hand brushing a new color may not give you the complete, even coverage you are looking for. A spray gun will give you full coverage and a more even coating for your new paint color. Spraying is more versatile and can be used on many different surfaces with an even finish and no brush strokes.

LOS GATOS — Like many high school graduates in search of direction, a young Cleve Dayton had hoped to discover his professional livelihood in the academic realm. However, it wasn’t until he looked beyond the classroom that he found his true calling. “I was attending junior college, basically just trying to find my way, when I became acquainted with the owner of a local painting company,” he recalls. “After a while, he invited me to come and work for him. As a detail-oriented person, I found a lot of satisfaction in painting, both in performing the work and seeing the end results. After about four years, I realized I was a painter, so I got my license and started my own business.”
The quality of materials used on your project will impact how it looks and how long it lasts. There is a huge difference in quality among coatings like paints and stains. There are also many specialized coatings that should be used for specific applications. Differences in the costs of a $9 gallon of paint versus a $50 gallon of paint represent real differences in the ingredients, with higher-priced paint having more expensive ingredients that look better and last longer, such as resins, binders and even titanium.
We started Partnership Painting Inc in 1984, and we are your Premiere Pasadena painting company. We met in elementary school and learned about professional painting from Scott's father, a high school industrial arts teacher, who painted houses in Los Angeles during the summers. We learned not only how to paint but the value of painting - whether it is a small residential project or a large commercial building - we paint projects as if they are our own! While a good painting contractor may tell you he’s insured, a great contractor presents a copy of his policy, proving the amount of coverage he carries for both property damage and bodily injury that may result from the contractor’s work. By nature, paint materials are highly flammable and, should a tragedy occur, you need to know your contractor is sufficiently insured.
