Next, find the square footage of the surface to be painted by first measuring each wall in a room across. Now you can multiply the length of the surface by the height of the wall.
Practice by painting your own home. I did our bedroom, two bathrooms, a closet and the screened porch shortly after I discovered I could paint decently. .

Another tip! If you’re painting textured walls, even edge lock tape won’t always do the trick! You can put the tape on the wall and then go over the edges with a thin stripe or PAINTABLE clear caulking! One part will come up with the tape, the other stays on the wall under the paint, and keeps the paint from seeping under the edge of the tape. SAN JOSE — After years of splitting his livelihood between two seasonal jobs, Joel Gruber came to a point where he had to choose between a paintbrush and a snowboard. “Over a six-year period following high school, I worked two jobs,” he explains. “During the summer, I was a painter, and during the winter, I was a ski lift operator up at Squaw Valley. It was an awesome time. Eventually, however, I realized I needed to choose a focus. Ultimately, I chose to go with painting. Since I had a lot of experience, I decided my best move would be to start my own business. When I started in 2009, I was basically a one-man operation; today, we have six crews going, so it has grown quite a bit over the years.”

It does not leave a nice crisp edge like advertised and like video shows. I was really hoping to get my sons room painted for him for his Christmas gift but now this is going to take me twice as long. 1.0 out of 5 stars NOT AS ADVERTISED!!!!! By Jenn on December 10, 2018

This is a question that is usually pretty easy to answer. Think about the space and the rest of the furniture in the room. If there’s not much furniture, you might consider painting the walls a statement color. Or, if the room is filled with art or other statement pieces, think about letting the walls be the canvas, rather than the focal point.
Next you have to coordinate access to certain areas including unlocking doors or entry access for a bit. Lastly, coordinating the work with your neighbors that share the stairwells and hallways of your building is always a great idea before the job begins.
