We had our windows, doors and all exterior wood trims painted by House Painting Inc. The painters came as scheduled and finished on time within a week as promised. They started by taping/covering with plastic all the windows from inside the house to protect the interior when they sanded on the outside. They took all window screens down and labelled everything. They worked diligently everyday and always notified us when they left at the end of each day. They were responsible and took down all the plastic and put all the window screens back in place at the end of the project. When all was done, a walk through was conducted to make sure we were satisfied. Overall, they were professional and did a fine job! We are satisfied with their work and will use them again in the future.
Professional painters also know which paints, tools and set up equipment are right for the surfaces in your older home. Plus, many companies have paint color professionals who can help you choose colors for your project so your home retains its original character.
Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards.

Often times you will meet with the estimator or owner before the project begins, but they will not actually be performing the work. This is fairly common, and nothing is wrong with it, provided that the company has a system for managing your project.
It should be noted that the cost per room does have a wide variable due to the many factors that can alter the overall cost per room, such as the size of the surface that needs to be painted, price of the paint, condition of the room walls, and so on. For instance, if the painters will need to resurface your wall due to holes and cracks, this will add to the overall costs.
