It was the best estimate we got out of 4 painters, they were on time, worked very cleanly and with great attention to detail.
First, don’t clean oil paints in a sink. You have to use thinner to clean up your gear and brushes. This will require you to clean your gear in a separate receptacle, like a disposable tub or plastic bucket, filled with any cleaning agents, like soap and water or laundry detergent. .
As an employee, you’ll often work with tools and materials provided by the contractor or employer. But if you work for one of the many employers who like to hire you as an independent contractor, you may have to buy brushes, rollers and other necessary tools. You can start with as little as $100, and add tools as you need them.
Finding an affordable house painter does take some patience and planning, but it is possible to find a professional painting team that offers reasonable prices in exchange for professional work.

Refilled let go of trigger button then let go of handle and it held the water quite well. Then pressed the button half way down and held it there ... much less pressure however the water came out quite quickly and wasted it all in a matter of about 5 seconds...

“They are a better company that’s higher in quality,” said Marchesi. “In the paint industry, you get what you pay for. If you want to buy something cheap that will last a couple years, then you’ll want to go with a lower line. But you definitely get what you pay for.”

I've hired Diego twice now for interior painting and have been impressed by his punctuality and quality of his work.
The reason you have never seen anyone painting their house exterior in the dead of winter is that this is not the type of job that can be carried out at any season.
A good place to start is to ask a trusted friend or general contractor for a recommendation. For my Cape Cod cottage, I found a great painter who painted the homes of my cousin, a contractor; my aunt, an architect; and my other aunt, who is even more picky than the other two. Prior to this painter however, I had hired a guy based on the recommendation of another friend with a similar historic house. Disaster! The paint job didn’t last two years. That’s why even with a recommendation, Nigel suggests you do some online research. Find out if others agree with your friend’s or relative’s assessment of the painter’s work, or if the contractor has experience working on your type of house. (When it comes to painting, modern and vintage homes are whole different animals.) Be sure to protect any lighting sconces, window frames and lighting fixtures before you paint. This can be done with painter’s tape or tin foil. Tin foil is advantageous with harder-to-cover surfaces in your home, like lighting sconces and door handles. Wrap it around the entire surface and mold its shape to the object it’s covering.
Mayco recently painted the exterior of my house, and they did a fantastic job. They quoted me a very fair price, and kept in touch with me throughout the season in regards to start date. Ignacio and his team arrived on time every morning at 8am, and worked until sun down. Their work was very detailed and thorough, the crew very professional, and they cleaned up well after themselves each day and when the job was done. An overall outstanding experience; I highly recommend them!- Stephen F.
My house was a 70s build, and almost completely wallpapered with a lot of the wallpaper painted over, which definitely didn’t help in removing it all! I also had a slightly different problem with removing wallpaper – the previous owners had used vinyl wallpaper, which when steamed stretched a lot rather than scraping off easily. It was easier to just score and scrape or peel off the paper dry, and later steam off any papery bits that were left on the wall.
Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $917 (for one room) to $4,893 (for eight rooms). The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted.
For each and every project we take on, our team acts professionally at all times. We respect your requests as well as your property. Protective measures will be taken with your furniture, plants, etc. Our goal is to make this process stress-free for you so that you can enjoy the end result.
