When checking out reviews on sites such as CitySearch and Yelp take what you read with a grain of salt. The information you read there has not been verified for accuracy. Another way that homeowners can calculate the cost of house painting is by the average cost per hour or per day. Professional painters have rates that vary between around $35 and $45 per hour for the average home; this price per hour does not include the cost for paint and materials, however, which will need to be added into the total cost. The average cost per hour will also vary depending on the type of painting that needs to be done; exterior painting, for instance, costs more than interior painting on average.
